Based on the novel “Sad Story of the Capital” by Lee Sun Mi, “Capital Scandal” is about a 1930 blossoming love story of Sun Woo Wan (Kang JiHwan) and Na Yu Kyung in Korea.
Woo Wan, the Jeong Seong city’s famous handsome playboy, constantly misuse his family’s influence to get away from various mischiefs. While Yu Kyung, easily identifiable in her regular black and white hanbuk (Korean traditional female costume), is known as the capital’s most conservative young woman. She disguises as an ordinary store owner while secretly participates in underground political movements. A series of mishaps brought the two opposites together, which later turned Woo Wan into a patriot.
The first 6 episodes of the series has so far been moderately interesting. Unfortunately, not one character stands out to make me want to stay up late at night and watch it.
