Japan’s Kamenashi Kazuya will star in “One Pound Gospel” in January, a Japanese series about Kosaku Hatanaka who is Mukaida Gym’s pride. He is a natural at boxing, but has problem controlling his voracious appetite. As a result, his weight goes up and is forced to fight in heftier weight class bouts which gives his coach (and himself) one hell of a time. The story becomes more interesting when Sister Angela, a young novice nun, initially shows compassion by encouraging Kosaku but later develops feelings for him.

Though I’ve never seen any of Kosaku’s work before, but this story sounds like it’s worth checking out.
